Alexander J.D. Curry is a partner and civil litigator at Beard Winter LLP, practising exclusively in the area of insurance defence litigation. He has a special interest in disability-related matters including claims arising from long-term disability policies (both group and individual), critical illness policies, mortgage life, and life insurance claims.

Alex takes a common sense approach to resolving all variety of matters including coverage disputes, statutory accident benefits, and tort. He has conducted hundreds of examinations for discovery of plaintiffs and defendants involving coverage disputes, commercial host liability, subrogation, property and casualty, motor vehicle accident, construction litigation, products liability, professional negligence and long-term disability matters.

Alex is sought out for his advocacy skills and has represented clients at numerous jury and non-jury trials in negligence matters as well as professional liability, motions, appeals, pretrial conferences and mediations throughout Ontario.

Alex is a co-manager of the firm’s Articling Program.

When not in the office, Alex enjoys the outdoors with his wife, two daughters and dog Abby.
