ALICIA BACKMAN-BEHARRY graduated with First Class Honors in English from the U of C and with a Bachelor of Laws from the U of A. She has practiced as a lawyer for 16 years, teaches at Bow Valley College, and is currently a part-time Immigration Law Program lawyer at Calgary Legal Guidance. Alicia has her own legal practice, practicing primarily immigration law. Alicia served as a Director on the Board of Immigrant Services Calgary for 9 years, including serving as Secretary, Vice-Chair, Chair and Past-Chair of the Board. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and is Chair of the Immigration and Citizenship Law Alberta South Section. She is also a Registered Yoga Teacher.
