Brian is a strong advocate of Alternative Dispute Resolution. He is certified as an arbitrator by the Arbitration and Mediation Institute of Ontario and has received mediation training through the Centre for Dispute Resolution at Boulder, Colorado. He is a member of the Advocates Society, the Waterloo Law Association, the Canadian Bar Association, the Arbitration and Mediation Institute of Ontario, The Ontario Insurance Adjusters’ Association, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.

Profile
Brian received his Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1978. He was called to the Bar in 1980. He received his certification from the Law Society of Upper Canada as a specialist in civil litigation in 1997. Brian has specialized throughout his career in general civil litigation and insurance law, including personal injury, products liability, occupiers’ liability, professional negligence, municipal and government liability, and employment and commercial litigation. He has assisted a number of insurance companies with policy wordings and revisions and has particular expertise in handling insurance coverage cases. He has extensive Courtroom experience having appeared before all levels of the Courts in Ontario.
