Description
Chris Osei-Kusi is developing a practice focused on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, startups, investment funds and sports and entertainment. He assists clients on a variety of securities matters and general corporate transactions.
Chris holds a JD from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law. While in law school, Chris served as the President of the Sports and Entertainment Society. He also won the Shaheen Memorial Award for legal writing. As a research assistant for Professor Shanthi Senthe, Chris analyzed the intersection of sports law and governance with respect to the decision-making process.
A former professional athlete for the Canadian Football League, Chris is the founder of Switch Mentality, an organization with the mission to support professional athletes transition to successful careers, including in law. He has also supported charitable initiatives such as the Edmonton Food Bank, Niagara Spears Football Club and the first Indigenous all-girls football team in Canadian history, called Fort McKay Northern Spirits Football.
