Description
Elham Beygi co-founded Englobe Law LLP. She formerly worked as a Litigation Lawyer at Cambridge LLP and Morrison Law, where she provided counsel in a broad litigation practice that included corporate/commercial, real estate, estate, construction, and constitutional disputes. She has appeared before all levels of Court in the Province of Ontario, including the Ontario Court of Appeal.

Elham’s legal practice is grounded in a multidisciplinary perspective, with a pragmatic approach. She holds an LL.M in Canadian Common Law from Osgoode Hall Law School of York University and a Master’s degree in interdisciplinary studies at York University with focus on Law and Philosophy. Elham received her LLB from Shahid Beheshti University and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. (ABD) in Legal Philosophy from McMaster University. She recently obtained a certificate in Maritime Law and Shipping Contracts from Lloyd’s Maritime Academy.

In addition to her legal practice, Elham has taught a broad range of courses at various universities in the Toronto area on topics that include law and society, critical thinking, gender studies, as well as political science and legal philosophy. Her writing on legal issues has been published, and she has also been involved in many community initiatives, including a travelling platform for Farsi-speaking scholars in the humanities, arts and social sciences fields.

Elham is fluent in Farsi, and has a basic understanding of French.
