Erin A. L. Townley

Erin graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2010, with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in English. She attended the University of Alberta for law, completing her Juris Doctorate in 2014, and was subsequently called to the Alberta bar in October, 2015. During her time at the University of Alberta, Erin was actively involved in Student Legal Services’ Civil & Family Law Division (“SLS”). Through SLS, Erin found her passion for helping clients find their voice, and navigate the often complex legal waters of family law. Erin articled with a boutique civil litigation firm in Calgary, where she was given the opportunity to hone her advocacy skills through frequent appearances in chambers, Questionings, and any other forum that came her way. She is very excited to plant her roots at a family firm, where she believes her mediation and advocacy skills shine at their brightest. Whe she is not in the office, Erin is committed to pursuing a healthy, active lifestyle. She plays hockey, is a self-described Baptiste “yogi”, and loves exploring the beauty of Calgary on her bike. She is also an avid runner, managing to qualify for the Boston marathon in her first attempt. Erin also believes in giving back to the communtiy. She is a three year volunteer with the charity “7 Days in May”, working to raise much needed funds for pancreatic cancer in her capacity as the Calgary Director of Operaitons.
