Description
James Baugh was called to the BC Bar in 1988. He has a law degree from UBC and a masters of law degree from Osgoode Hall. His areas of practice include labour and employment law, human rights law, privacy law, defamation law, administrative law, and general civil litigation. He conducts workshops on a variety of labour relations issues, including the arbitration process, shop stewards’ rights and responsibilities, disability claims and procedures, surveillance, drug testing, and privacy law in general. Other areas for which he has made presentations include defamation law and professional discipline. He has taught labour and employment law at SFU, and human rights and philosophy at the College level. He likes to play guitar and floor hockey, and maintains an interest in philosophy, for which he has a Master of Arts degree from UBC.
