Description
Henry Harris is a strategic legal advisor with over 20 years experience as a business lawyer.  Specializing in corporate finance, securities law and M&A, he assists both Canadian and foreign companies, investors and underwriters in transactions involving raising capital, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital and international finance and M&A.  Henry acts as general counsel to a diverse client base for companies ranging from the technology to resource sectors. He also act as lead Canadian counsel to the world’s largest online marketplace.Henry is a recipient of Lexpert Rising Stars:Leading Lawyers Under 40 and was recognized as a Canadian Corporate Lawyer to Watch in Lexpert Guide to the Leading US/Canada Cross-Border Corporate Lawyers in Canada. He has appeared live on BNN Bloomberg TV as a securities law specialist & has participated with TSX as a speaker at workshops across Canada, the US & internationally. Henry manages the firm’s relationship with stock exchanges and is Leader of the California Regional Team. Henry has served on the Securities Law Subcommittee of both the CBA and OBA and has served as a member of the OBA Executive Council, where he received the OBA’s Dedicated Service to the Profession Award. He has also participated on a CBA Committee reviewing the proposed Cooperative Capital Markets Regulatory System.Prior to practicing law, Henry founded, operated and subsequently sold a successful small business, which gave him a unique perspective of being an entrepreneur.
