Jeff’s practice is currently focused primarily on commercial litigation with an emphasis on real estate, construction, shareholders, commercial and business disputes as well as foreclosures, debt collection, and strata law.

Jeff has twenty years of experience in provided practical, timely and understandable legal opinions. He believes clients are best served by a strategic approach, which considers the cost-benefits and risks of legal proceedings.

He also has twenty years of experience in real estate development and assists clients in every stage of the development process. Jeff brings sound practical experience and legal knowledge to assist his clients with the successful completion of their projects. He has substantial solicitor’s experience in real estate development including rezoning, development permit approval, financing, fee simple and bare land strata subdivisions, shared interest vacation properties, strata property, and rental pool resorts.

Jeff grew up on Vancouver Island. He earned his Bachelor of Arts at the University of British Columbia and his Bachelor of Law at the University of Victoria. He was called to the Bar in 1995 and began his career in Victoria with Crease Harman. Prior to joining Davidson Lawyers, Jeff worked as in-house legal counsel for a major, strata-titled rental pool resort development on Vancouver Island.

Jeff is a past president of the Vernon Bar Association and a past director of the North Okanagan Employment Enhancement Society (NOESS) and the United Way. He is currently a director of People Place, a member of the City of Vernon’s Economic Development Committee and a member of the Kalamalka Rotary Club.

In his spare time, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children, being involved in the community and participating in outdoor activities, including camping, sailing, hiking, mountain biking and skiing.
