Description
Khalfan Khalfan is a partner practising in the Employment & Labour Group. Khalfan practices all aspects of employment and labour law on behalf of employers in Ontario, and advises clients on a broad range of issues including employment standards, employee privacy, corporate immigration, human rights, occupational health and safety, and employee terminations.

Khalfan routinely advises on matters relating to employment and labour and immigration in the context of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, insolvencies, restructuring and outsourcing transactions.

Khalfan is sought out by a variety of clients to advise on contractual and commercial arrangements with employees, including employment agreements, consulting agreements, non-competition and non-solicitation agreements as well as termination arrangements with departing employees. He frequently advises organizations across various sports, including basketball, golf, and hockey. Khalfan is also known for his immigration practice, in which he advises international employers on business immigration requirements.

Professional Activities
Khalfan has obtained his CIPP/C, a designation for privacy professionals working with Canadian information privacy laws, principles, and practices at the federal, provincial and territorial levels. He is also a member of the Law Society of Ontario and South Asian Bar Association (SABA). He is frequently asked to speak on the topics of employment and labour at industry conferences and writes on relevant issues. Khalfan lends his time as a member of the Ismaili Council For Toronto.
