Description
Krista Simon is a Partner at Hammerberg Lawyers LLP. As a personal injury litigation lawyer with more than 15 years of experience, Krista represents people who have sustained injuries in motor-vehicle accidents as drivers, passengers and pedestrians, and also in slip and fall incidents, as well as civil assaults. She also incorporates other insurance claims disputes in her practice, such as disability, health and life insurance denials.
Krista’s approach to working effectively with her clients is by way of creating a trusted and transparent relationship with them and their families. She becomes involved in all levels of the claim and litigation process – from investigation, to co-ordination of rehabilitation and medical benefits, through to legal strategy and solutions. Her hands-on involvement provides her with a comprehensive understanding and appreciation of an individual’s complex legal and medical journey. When necessary, Krista represents clients at all levels of court in British Columbia—Provincial Court, Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal—and also before administrative tribunals. Alternatively, she has successfully settled many claims through negotiation and mediation. Her clients value her determination and her effective ability to provide practical solutions.
Krista was the President of the Trial Lawyers Association of BC (2015), and currently sits on the Board of Governors. She is also a frequent guest speaker at professional and community seminars.
