Profile
Mala Joshi is an associate of Ridout & Maybee LLP in the firm’s Toronto office. Her practice is principally directed to intellectual property litigation, including patent, trade-mark, and copyright litigation, as well as matters involving Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulations. As part of her practice, she also handles trade-mark opposition proceedings, section 45 cancellation proceedings, as well as the drafting and prosecution of trade-mark applications. Mala is an elected member of the University Council of Queen’s University at Kingston and frequently chairs and speaks on various intellectual property and litigation topics. Mala is also a member of the Editorial Board of the Canadian Patent Reporter. Prior to joining Ridout & Maybee in 2008, Mala practiced intellectual property with a major full-service law firm in Toronto.
