Marc Kemerer is a leading lawyer in municipal law, land use planning & development. His practice encompasses all aspects of land development, land use planning, municipal by-laws and governance, and aggregate extraction.

Marc represents developers, landowners, institutions, municipalities and individuals regarding large residential, condominium, commercial, retail, subdivision and aggregate developments. He also has considerable experience with respect to municipal conflicts of interest, expropriation, heritage and conservation authority approvals as well as development charges matters.

Marc regularly attends before municipal councils and committees of adjustment throughout Ontario and the Ontario Land Tribunal to obtain approvals for official plan and zoning by-law amendments, subdivision and site plans, minor variances/consents, as well as aggregate pits and quarries. He also represents clients before the courts and other administrative Tribunals. His work in planning and development has been consistently recognized by Novae Res Urbis as belonging to one of the top planning and development law firms in Toronto.

A thought leader in his field, Marc frequently writes and speaks about municipal, planning, aggregate and environmental law. He is a frequent contributor to publications such as Ontario Real Estate Law Developments and has been a regular speaker at conferences offered by the Ontario Bar Association, Federated Press, The Canadian Environmental Conference and OSSGA. He has taught courses in Municipal and Planning Law at Conestoga College and a course in Development Law at Ryerson University.
