Marlisa H. Martin has been a member of the British Columbia Bar since 2011. She has represented clients at each level of court in British Columbia, including the British Columbia Court of Appeal as well as before the Human Rights Tribunal and the Workers Compensation Appeal Tribunal (WCAT). While Marlisa thoroughly enjoys getting into court and advocating for her clients rights she knows that the court process can be stressful and overwhelming. She strives to make the entire process as painless and easy as possible for you and will work with you to resolve your matter with your best interests in mind.

She primarily practices in personal injury representing clients who have been in car accidents on Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland.

Marlisa is a member of the Canadian Bar Association(CBA), the Trial Lawyers of British Columbia and the Victoria Bar Association. Marlisa volunteers as the Chair of the CBA Island Civil Litigation subsection and Treasurer for the Victoria Bar Association.

Marlisa was raised in Churchill, Manitoba (The Polar Bear Capital of the World). After attending Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario to obtain her Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biology and Psychology, she moved back to Churchill to raise her young family. She decided to return to school and was forever changed when she obtain a spot in the UVIC Law School program in 2006. The first winter in Victoria was enough to convince her that, while she loved the North, it was far too cold to return! She has called Victoria home ever since and is glad to be able to bring a bit of the North into her practice.
