Nicola practices in the areas of business and real estate law, and estate planning at Hammerberg Lawyers LLP. She is also a registered trade mark agent.For her business clients, she advises on matters such as, but not limited to, shareholder, joint venture, joint ownership, employment, and sale and purchase agreements. Residential and commercial real estate transactions include sale and purchase, preparing lease agreements and mortgage documentation, including private mortgages. Nicola also works on dissolutions, continuations, amalgamations and registering trade marks.For individual clients, she assists with their estate planning needs including preparing wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.Nicola was admitted to the bar in New Zealand in 2008. Following which, she immigrated to Canada, and worked in a legal support role in a boutique law firm in Vancouver, gaining valuable experience in business law, estate planning and real estate law while she worked to obtain her qualification to practice law in Canada.Nicola was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 2012 after articling at the boutique law firm and joined Hammerberg Lawyers LLP in 2014. She enjoys working with clients and strives to find effective and practical solutions to legal issues they face in a timely manner.
