Pamela Stewart received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Prince Edward Island and then obtained her Bachelor of Laws from Dalhousie University in 1987.

Admitted as a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers Society in 1988, Pamela practiced law in Kentville, Nova Scotia from 1988 to August 2005. Her areas of practice in Nova Scotia included real property, wills & estates and focused primarily on litigation with a special emphasis on family law, including extensive training in interest-based negotiations (Collaborative Family Law).

Pamela was admitted to the Bar of the Law Society of Prince Edward Island in August 2005 and is practicing law with a focus on Civil Litigation, with a special emphasis on Family Law. In addition, she practices Administrative and Estates Law.

Pamela currently sits as a member of the Law Society Bar Articling and Admissions/Board of Examiners Committee, Legislation Committee, and Discipline Committees and Credentials Committee (substitute). She is an active member of the PEI CBA Branch Family Law and Civil Litigation sections and was elected to the CBA Provincial Council for a second two year term in June 2013.

Pamela has been a guest lecturer at family law conferences.

Over the last 25 years Pamela has appeared before the Prince Edward Island Provincial Court, Supreme Court of Prince Edward Island and Court of Appeal. In addition, she has appeared before the Nova Scotia Residential Tenancies Board, Provincial Court, Family Court, Small Claims Court, County Court, Supreme Court and Court of Appeal.

Pamela has been recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada for the last several years including 2013.
