Description
After growing up on Salt Spring Island, I completed my Bachelor of Science with distinction in Nursing at the University of Victoria, and became a practicing registered nurse in the Victoria area. I worked as a registered nurse for a number of years, and then returned to the University of Victoria to go to law school. After completing my JD, I articled at a larger firm here in Victoria, where I was grateful to learn from experienced mentors and gain experience primarily in civil litigation, family law, and solicitors work such as wills, contracts, and real estate conveyance. More recently, I was overjoyed to join Corvus Law.

Currently, I practice personal injury litigation, family law, wills, and real estate conveyance. My background in health care allows me to better understand the subtleties of medical and health related claims, as well as the relational and emotional aspects that arise in family law. I try to focus on what is meaningful to my clients, and look for creative or practical solutions to avoid unnecessary, drawn out litigation.

I live and work in the city of Victoria in the unceded traditional territory of the lək̓ʷəŋən speaking and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples. While I am based out of Victoria, I frequently travel to Salt Spring Island and am happy to meet clients from the Gulf Islands on Salt Spring Island in order to help facilitate access to legal services. Outside of my work as a lawyer, I serve on the Board of Directors for the Victoria Sexual Assault Centre. In my spare time I enjoy being in nature, spending time with my loved ones, and reading books while my cat sits in my lap.
