Description
Wade practices human rights law in Hamilton, Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area. Wade regularly appears before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, representing clients who have experienced discrimination on the basis of sex, pregnancy, race, disability, addictions, family status (including child care), marital status, or reprisal for having alleged rights under the Ontario Human Rights Code.

Wade is a Member of the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario Practice Advisory Committee, a committee established to act as a resource for the Tribunal on issues relating to rules, practice direction, and policy.

In 2013, Wade earned his Master of Laws, an advanced law degree, from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, where he received high honours and graduated within the top three students within his program. While studying at Cornell, Wade took part in the International Human Rights Clinic and Advanced International Human Rights Clinic. In October, 2012 Wade traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina on a human rights fact-finding mission to address human rights issues faced by women deprived of liberty in the federal prison system.

Wade was called to the Ontario Bar in 2011, after having completed his Juris Doctor degree at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. While studying at the University of Toronto, Wade interned for the International Labour Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, working directly with Guido Raimondi, currently the Vice-President of the European Court of Human Rights. Following his internship, he was extended an excol contract to continue his work with the ILO. Following law school, Wade was employed by Justice Robert Sharpe of the Court of Appeal for Ontario researching and updating his book entitled Injunctions and Specific Performance, and Stephen Waddams, Professor at the University of Toronto, updating his book entitled The Law of Damages.

Wade has earned degree from McMaster University (Master of Arts in Work & Society), York University (B.A. Honours in Psychology), and Wilfrid Laurier University (B.A. in Psychology).Wade is the recipient of a number of awards, including the Volunteer Service Award from the Province of Ontario and the 40 Under Forty Achievement Award from The Business Link of Hamilton and Halton. Wade also sits on a number of Boards, including the Grimsby Affordable Housing Partnership, Volunteer Hamilton and Opening Hearts.
